เมื่อวันอังคารที่ 20 มกราคม 2569 มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง (มฟล.) จัดพิธีการลงนามในการต่ออายุบันทึกความเข้าใจ (MoU) ระหว่าง สำนักวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง กับ Princeton in Asia (PiA) สหรัฐอเมริกา ณ ห้องประชุมดอยตุง อาคารวันชัย ศิริชนะ มฟล.
โดยผู้ลงนามฝ่าย มฟล. ได้แก่ รศ. ดร.สรบุศย์ รุ่งโรจน์สุวรรณ์ คณบดีสำนักวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ และฝ่าย PiA มีผู้ลงนามคือ Mags Dillon, Executive Director of Princeton in Asia ในพิธีลงนามครั้งนี้ยังมีผู้บริหารสำนักวิชาและคณาจารย์จากสำนักวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ มฟล. พร้อมด้วยอาจารย์อาสาสมัครปัจจุบันและอดีตอาจารย์อาสาสมัครจาก PiA เข้าร่วมพิธี
บันทึกความเข้าใจ (Memorandum of Understanding) ฉบับนี้ มีจุดมุ่งหมายในการสร้างความร่วมมือทางด้านวิชาการระหว่าง สำนักวิชาศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง และ Princeton in Asia หรือ PiA สหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหาผลกำไร ที่มีพันธกิจในการสร้างความเข้าใจข้ามวัฒนธรรมระหว่างภูมิภาคเอเชียและสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายตกลงร่วมมือกันเพื่อมอบประสบการณ์ในรูปแบบทุนการศึกษา (Fellowship) ให้แก่บัณฑิตผู้มีความสามารถ (Fellows) ที่มีความปรารถนาจะอุทิศตนเพื่อพันธกิจร่วมกันของทั้งสององค์กร โดย PiA จะได้ส่งบุคลากรมาเป็นอาจารย์อาสาสมัครในด้านวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ และร่วมกิจกรรมในด้านต่าง ๆ ที่ มฟล. ทั้งยังจะเป็นโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ทางด้านวัฒนธรรมระหว่างกัน ทั้งนี้ จะได้ดำเนินความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2569 ถึง 2574 รวมเป็นระยะเวลา 5 ปี หลังจากที่ฉบับเก่าได้สิ้นสุดลงเมื่อวันที่ 28 พฤศจิกายน 2568

MFU Renews Strategic Partnership with Princeton in Asia to Advance English Language Education and Academic Exchange
Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) has reaffirmed its commitment to international academic collaboration through the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between its School of Liberal Arts, and Princeton in Asia (PiA), a U.S.-based non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding between Asia and the United States.
The OU signing ceremony was held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Doi Tung Meeting Room, Vanchai Sirichana Building, Mae Fah Luang University. The agreement was formally signed on behalf of MFU by Associate Professor Dr. Sorabud Rungrojsuwan, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, and by Ms. Mags Dillon, Executive Director of Princeton in Asia.
The ceremony was also attended by the School’s executive team and faculty members, along with both current and former PiA volunteer lecturers, reflecting the long-standing and people-centered nature of the collaboration between the two institutions.
Under the renewed agreement, MFU and PiA will continue to work closely to promote academic cooperation in the field of English language education. A central component of the partnership is the provision of fellowship opportunities for talented graduates (Fellows) affiliated with Princeton in Asia who seek to contribute to the shared educational and intercultural missions of both organizations. Through this framework, Princeton in Asia will assign qualified fellows to serve as English instructors at MFU and to participate in a range of academic and community-oriented activities across the university.
Beyond academic engagement, the partnership also serves as a platform for mutual cultural exchange, enabling meaningful interaction between Thai and international educators and contributing to MFU’s broader internationalization agenda.
The renewed MOU will be effective for a period of five years, from 2026 to 2031, following the conclusion of the previous agreement on November 28, 2025. This continued collaboration underscores MFU’s strategic focus on global partnerships and its commitment to enhancing English language education within an international and intercultural learning environment.
