เมื่อวันที่ 16 ตุลาคม 2561 Mr. Dylan J Hartmann ศิษย์เก่าสาขาวิชาภาษาและวัฒนธรรม ได้รับรางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับที่ 1 BKKLIT Translation Prize ประจำปี 2018 ประเภทร้อยแก้ว (Fiction) จากผลงานแปลเรื่อง ‘The Man With His Back to the Tsunami’ ซึ่งแปลจากงานเขียนของ จิรภัทร อังศุมาลี
Mr. Dylan J Hartmann เป็นชาวออสเตรเลีย สำเร็จการศึกษาสาขาวิชาภาษาและวัฒนธรรมไทย ในปีการศึกษา 2553 โดยเป็นนักศึกษารุ่นแรกของสาขาวิชาฯ ปัจจุบันทำงานแปลงานเขียนภาษาไทย-อังกฤษอย่างต่อเนื่อง

Our school of Liberal Arts, MFU would like to congratulate our proud alumnus, Mr. Dylan J Hartmann, our first batch student of Thai Language and Culture major, for winning the First Runner Up Fiction Translation Prize 2018 at the Bangkok Literary Review (BKKLIT).
His translation of ‘The Man With His Back to the Tsunami’ by Jirapat Angsumali won himself the prize and also our Liberal Arts school's pride.
At present, he works as a Thai-English professional translator in Brisbane, Australia.
