การประกวดเรื่องสั้นภาษาอังกฤษ (Short Story Contest)

คุณสมบัติผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 

นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4-6

ประเภทและจำนวนผู้เข้าแข่งขัน

  1. แข่งขันประเภทเดี่ยว
  2. จำนวนผู้เข้าประกวด
  3. นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4,5, หรือ 6 จำนวน 1 คนต่อโรงเรียน

วิธีดำเนินการและรายละเอียดหลักเกณฑ์การประกวด

  1. งานเขียนที่ใช้ส่งเข้าประกวดเป็นงานเขียนภาษาอังกฤษประเภทเรื่องสั้น 
  2. ผู้เข้าประกวดต้องเขียนเรื่องสั้นด้วยตนเองจำนวน 1 เรื่อง ความยาวระหว่าง 1,000-2,000 คำ ภายใต้หัวข้อ “Unity in Diversity” ตัวอย่างเนิ้อหาเรื่องสั้นที่ครอบคลุมหัวข้อดังกล่าว เช่น ความหลากหลายทางเพศ ชาติพันธุ์ ชนชั้น ความคิด ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณี วัฒนธรรม ฯลฯ 
  3. ส่งเรื่องสั้นในรูปแบบไฟล์ PDF มายัง event.liberal-arts@mfu.ac.th โดยระบุหัวข้ออีเมล์ดังนี้ “Short Story Contest และชื่อโรงเรียนของท่าน” และบันทึกชื่อไฟล์ในรูปแบบ “ชื่อโรงเรียน” (เช่น “โรงเรียนแม่ฟ้าวิทยาคม”) ภายในวันที่ 20 เมษายน 2566
  4. ผู้เข้าประกวดเจ้าของผลงานเรื่องสั้นที่ได้คะแนนสูงสุด 3 อันดับแรก ถือเป็นผู้เข้ารอบสุดท้าย รับรองตำแหน่ง 3 รางวัล ประกาศผลภายในวันที่ 19 พฤษภาคม 2566 ผู้เข้ารอบจะได้รับการติดต่อเพื่อยืนยันสิทธิและตอบรับเข้าร่วมงาน ยืนยันสิทธิภายในวันที่ 31 พฤษภาคม 2566
  5. วันจัดงาน MFU Talent Expo ตรงกับวันศุกร์ที่ 9 มิถุนายน 2566 ช่วงเช้าผู้เข้าประกวดทั้ง 3 คนพร้อมครูผู้ดูแลเข้าร่วมงานเพื่อฟังประกาศผลรางวัล ร่วมพูดคุยและให้สัมภาษณ์ 

เกณฑ์การให้คะแนน

  1. แนวคิดหลัก (Main message) 4 คะแนน
  2. การเรียบเรียงเรื่อง (Organization) 4 คะแนน
  3. เอกลักษณ์ (Originality) 4 คะแนน
  4. ความสอดคล้องชัดเจน (Clarity) 4 คะแนน
  5. รูปแบบภาษา (Conventions) 4 คะแนน

หมายเหตุ หากเรื่องสั้นของผู้เข้าประกวดที่ตอบรับการเข้าร่วมได้ผ่านเข้ารอบ 3 คนสุดท้าย ผู้ประกวดและครูผู้ดูแลต้องสามารถเดินทางมาเข้าร่วมงาน MFU Talent Expo ที่จะจัดขึ้นวันศุกร์ที่ 9 มิถุนายน ณ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง จังหวัดเชียงรายได้ หากผู้เข้ารอบไม่สามารถเข้าร่วมงานได้ ผู้ที่ได้คะแนนสูงสุดลำดับรองลงมาจะได้สิทธิเข้ารอบแทน

รางวัล

รางวัลชนะเลิศ           จำนวน 1 รางวัล   รางวัลละ 2,500 บาท และเกียรติบัตร

รางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 1 จำนวน 1 รางวัล   รางวัลละ 1,500 บาท และเกียรติบัตร

รางวัลรองชนะเลิศอันดับ 2 จำนวน 1 รางวัล   รางวัลละ 1,000 บาท และเกียรติบัตร

รางวัลชมเชย จำนวน 2 รางวัล   รางวัลละ 500 บาท และเกียรติบัตร

 

 

English short story

Qualification

  • High school students, grade 10-12, Mattayom 4-6

Number of contestants

  • A solo contest - 1 short story written by 1 author as a representative of 1 school
  • 1 contestant per invited school 

Procedure and details of contest criteria

  • The writing submitted for the contest are written in English in the genre of short stories.
  • Contestants are required to write their own short stories between 1,000-2,000 words under the theme “Unity in Diversity”.
  • Submit a short story via event.liberal-arts@mfu.ac.th in a PDF format naming as “Short Story Contest -School Name” (e.g. “Short story contest-Mae Fah Witthayakhom School”) by April 20, 2023
  • The top 3 short story contestants with the highest score will be considered the finalist which will be announced by May 19, 2023. The finalists will be contacted to confirm their eligibility by 31 May 2023.
  • The day of the MFU Talent Expo event is on 9 June 2023. All  3 finalists and their teachers attend the event to attend the award ceremony, join the interview session, and take part in the discussion. Certificates and prize money will be given at the event.

Notes

The finalists and runner-ups who confirm their eligibility need to be able to travel to Mae Fah Luang University in Chiang Rai to join the MFU Talent Expo in person on Friday 9th June 2023. If they cannot, the prizes will be given to the participants whose scores are in lower rankings.
