The Master of Arts in English for Professional Development has been developed on the conceptual basis of cognitivism. It emphasizes the intellectual process, a process that occurs through self-learning. The program offers an appropriate learning experience for learners as well as an inquiry-based education, encouraging knowledge seeking through questioning and problem solving. By combining new experiences with existing knowledge, learners can develop understanding, which is the foundation of learning. This learning method conforms to outcome-based education, which is the key approach in developing this program. This learner-centered education focuses on the learning outcome and contributes to the development of professional personnel. The rapid growth of digital technology has caused the business and industrial sectors to adjust to changes as well as the educational sector. Adjustment in learning styles, creations of innovative learning processes and self-learning conditions, as well as the application of disruptive technologies need to be implemented in the program in order to respond to these changes and conform to the Thai Qualification Framework for Higher Education B.E.2015 (TQF:HEd).
This program enables learners to keep up with modern changes in the world and possess knowledge in fields related to the arts of academic English, English for intercultural communication, as well as language-related technologies for development in professions such as English education and other professions that use English as a medium language to achieve effective academic communication.
The graduates are able to:
1. Apply academic English skills in general and intercultural communication for development in various professions.
2. Develop professionally by integrating knowledge with other arts in order to study, analyze, research and creatively use language-related technologies.
3. Become innovative and eager in seeking out knowledge while possessing professional ethics.
The program aims to introduce knowledge concerning the theories, approaches, principles, activity designs, learning spaces, and non-rigid creations of the English learning experience and transformative learning theory. It focuses on developing the skills of analysis, synthesis, and integration of English arts with other fields of knowledge in order to design a transformative learning approach. The program also encourages academic leadership skills by introducing approaches, principles and methods to develop the learners' English potential. This is a micro-credential semester system program which consists of 2 semesters per year with each semester taking no less than 15 weeks (exam weeks not included).

5. Personnel in international organizations.
6. Other professions that require professional English.
