Thai language is a significant tool for communication within and outside of the country. It is essential for foreigners who aim to live in Thailand, operate businesses or participate in activities related to the public and private sectors to learn Thai language as well as Thai culture in order to communicate and operate organizations effectively.
This program applies Constructivism Theory, a theory that emphasizes learners’ construction of new knowledge and understanding of the subject matter by integrating learners’ new knowledge with the existing knowledge or experience in order to enhance communicative ability, especially linguistic, socio-linguistic, and socio-cultural competence. The theory is used as the foundation for the design and development of the program, enabling the program’s graduates to obtain knowledge and skills in Thai language and to effectively communicate and conduct activities in various disciplines. In addition to language competence, the program fosters Thai cultural understanding in various contexts and inspires graduates to be creative, develop communication and teamwork skills, apply technology-related special skills, and cultivate life-long self-learning habits.

The Bachelor of Arts Programme in Thai Language and Culture for Foreigners promotes and supports graduates of the programme to communicate in Thai language effectively, to possess knowledge and understanding of Thai language, society, and culture, to develop knowledge for producing works related to Thai language and culture, including apply their knowledge to work in a wide variety of business contexts. In addition, the graduates are able to communicate and work with others in different societies and cultures.
Our programme focuses on creating foreign graduates who excel in using Thai to communicate in contexts of Thai culture, equipped with knowledge, and able to apply the knowledge of the language, culture and society, information technology, and principles of communication to their careers in various fields.
